Really be Thankful....

My Thanksgiving wish:

Take a look around your life.
Really look around and take in everything around you.
Look at your family.
Look at your friends.
Look at your house and all the "stuff" you have.
And be thankful.
Be thankful for the little things.
Be thankful that you woke up this morning and the sun was shining.
Be thankful for the laughter ringing through your home.
Be thankful for the smiles of the children in your life, whether they are yours are not.
If you have a job, be thankful.
If you have the love of your life, be thankful.
Don't look for the bad things to bitch about.
Don't get angry because something didn't go your way.
It happened like that for a reason.
Be happy.

Pick up the phone and call your parents.  Tell them you love them.
Pick up the phone and call your siblings.  Tell them you love them.
Hug your kids.  Kiss your kids.  Tickle your kids.

You never know when then day is going to come that these things might not be there for you anymore.
So embrace them while you have them.
Be happy.
Don't let other people bring you down with their drama.
It's theirs, let them keep it themselves.

This is my Thanksgiving wish for all of my family and my friends.
I am oh so thankful for my life.
For the man who loves me in all of my craziness.

For my girls who are literally my heart walking around outside of me.

For my daddy who is my hero and only proves it more and more every day.

For my mom, who I miss oh so much, but I couldn't ask for a better guardian angel.

For my siblings - blood related and not, near and far.

For all the rest of family that would do anything for me.

I have a job that I love.
I have a car that works.
I have a home to raise my family in.
My life is amazing.
And I am thankful for it.

Happy Thanksgiving

Can you believe

That Thanksgiving is next week?
Because I can't.
November didn't really seem to exist this year - it seems like just yesterday it was Halloween.
But none the less, here I am, planning our Thanksgiving menu, making shopping lists for food, working on wishlists for Christmas.......

Where does the time go.

So last week was Veteran's Day.
I have quite a few veterans in my family.  And my aunt was thoughtful enough to put up pictures of pretty much all of them in all of their glory.
I'm only gonna post my immediate family members on here - but I'm so proud of the rest of them too!

So here is Granddaddy (my daddy's daddy)
He looks like Bing Crosby.
I'll have to find another picture of him that shows this fact.
Sideways hat and all :)

Here is my Grandpa (mama's daddy)

And my grandma (mama's mama) and her brother (so that would make him my great uncle)

I love the older pictures like this.
I love the coloring.
And the way that the subjects look like porcelain dolls :)

And here's my daddy <3
He's so handsome.
And he is my hero in oh so many ways.

Here's him and my mama a few years later

<3

Like I said, there are lots more.
I have uncles.....and cousins.....and a boyfriend....who are all veterans.
I'd put the baby daddy picture up here, but I don't have one.
That will have to be another day :)

And since I've last talked to you here is a little bit of what we've been doing:

Riding

I want my baby back!!!!!  She is way too big for my liking!
Just kidding.
I love her in all of her 5 (and a half!) year old glory :)

And she took her very first school pictures
*tear*

And I got a night out on the town with the girls <3
So so love these ladies :)

And I finally got a good smiley picture of my little monster
There is something imminently wrong with you if this doesn't make your face light up :)

There was probably more.
I know there was more.
I lived it.
But sometimes its just too much to put down here.
And this was all the fun stuff :)
So it is what I share
